Frequently Asked Questions

What does "all features on every plan" mean?

Cookie scanning, policy generation, 35 languages, consent logs, geotargeting, Google Consent Mode v2, and IAB TCF 2.3 are all available on every plan. The only difference is the number of websites and your monthly pageview cap.

What counts as a pageview?

Every page load counts as one pageview, regardless of whether the visitor has consented or not. The limit is shared across all domains on your account and resets at the start of each billing cycle.

Are subdomains counted as separate websites?

No. Subdomains like shop.yourdomain.com or blog.yourdomain.com fall under your root domain. One domain slot covers your full domain and all its subdomains. Your plan's domain count applies to separate root domains only.

What happens when I hit my pageview limit?

We notify you in-app and by email as you approach your limit. Your banner keeps running; we don't cut off your compliance protection. We don't automatically upgrade your plan or charge you more without your action.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade from your dashboard at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at your next renewal.

How does the free trial work?

Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full feature access. No credit card required to start. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged.

Can I manage multiple websites from one account?

Yes. Premium covers 5 websites and Enterprise covers 10, all managed from a single dashboard with one login.

Can I use Consently for client websites?

Yes. Agency use is fully supported. You can manage multiple client websites from one account using the site selector. Note that there are no separate sub-accounts or client dashboards. Everything runs from your single login.

Can I swap domains after assigning them?

Yes. Domains are not permanently locked. You can remove an existing domain from your account at any time and replace it with a new one.

Does Consently update automatically when privacy laws change?

Yes. Our compliance templates and policy generators are maintained by the team. When regulations evolve, updates roll out to your live banner automatically, with no action needed on your end. Policies you've already generated can be regenerated from your dashboard at any time.

Does it work with e-commerce stores?

Yes. Consently works with any platform that allows adding a script to the <head> of your site, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Squarespace, and any other store builder.
